Actos, a prescription drug manufactured by Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, came under scanner after some serious allegations. French Medicines Agency conducted research and study on bladder cancer and ended up with saying that actos can cause bladder cancer. According to this report, diabetic patients who are taking Actos drug for more than one year has increased chance of getting bladder cancer up to 40 percentage. This made countries like Germany and France to suspend the sale of actos drug. Then FDA ordered the manufacturer to have black box warning printed on the label of their packaging.
