It is enjoyable to hear stories from of our friends because they are enough like us that we can relate to them but different enough that we can think of alternative courses of action if we were in their position.
Pretty much any time a story is told to us we imagine what we would do in the same situation. This means that friends can often give each other advice on how to proceed or if no advice is needed then just enjoy the story.

Also known as “oido” or “ear training” aural guitar training refers to learning by listening. It’s a difficult method compared to online guitar lessons and works only for those who have found their musicality. This is why it is grounds for boasting when you say you learned to play an instrument by ear.
The problem though of not going through any kind of formal lessons, even the online guitar lessons is that you don’t get trained on music theory or develop a strong foundation for future reference. If you join a band or became a popular player, you will have to read chords and notes. You may not be as quick on the uptake as the others and may even require special attention.
Nonetheless, should you insist that aural training is sufficient, be sure to also learn how to communicate with other musicians. Other areas that will need to be worked on to be able to work in a band would be rhythmic dictation. Basically, you need to study different kinds of rhythms so that you can demonstrate what you want to do or bring into a song. Learning how to sing from your diaphragm is the most important technique when it comes to learning how to sing. All of singing rest on the fact of being able to breathe properly. Learning to sing from diaphragm begins with proper posture. And learning to sing from your diaphragm is all about a proper breath management system. I can explain it decently well but I found a video online that actually does a far better job than I can do.
